THE POWER OF THE WORD

And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.  EPHESIANS 3:9 Another unfathomable treasure we have obtained as believers is the revelation of the immeasurable power of God’s Word. This revelation begins with understanding that God “created all things by Jesus Christ.” Like the “fellowship of the mystery,” in these few words we are presented with a truth that is foolishness to the natural mind.  All of creation is the work of Jesus Christ because He is the living Word of God, and God created all things by His Word. John the apostle began his account of the Gospel with this same truth: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.  JOHN 1:1-3 And the Word was made flesh,...

Goodness of GOD

Changing our theology doesn’t change GOD.   Either GOD is authentically good, or He is not. I would never suggest that we pretend GOD is different than HE is. Nothing is accomplished by allowing our imagination to create our own image of GOD.  GOD would then be no better than the gods made out of wood or stone, also created by human initiative. Inventing GOD in our minds or building GOD with our hands is a similarity that is both vain and ultimately destructive. Discovering who GOD is and what GOD is like in reality is the only possible way to discover GOD'S true Goodness.  This eternal journey into GOD'S infinite Goodness is the one we are privileged to embrace.  I’ve heard people say they don’t believe in GOD anymore after experiencing a disappointment or tragic loss of some sort. I don’t mean to treat their situation with disregard, but you can’t turn a consciousness of GOD on and off like that. You may be mad at GOD. You may accuse GOD ...

The Gospel Is Not A Second Chance!

The Gospel Is Not A Second Chance! One of the biggest misconceptions about Christianity is that it is a second chance at life. Of course this could be because we preach that it’s a second chance at life. But the truth is that the gospel of Jesus Christ is not one which gives people a second chance at life. Rather it is one that ends their life. The message of the gospel is not God saying- “OK, you’ve really messed up but don’t worry, here’s another shot.” No, the message of the gospel is God saying – “You can’t do this… why don’t you let Me take over for you.” The evolution of the message It’s easy to see how we got ourselves here – we love self-righteousness. It’s something we all love to do, to earn our own righteous standing before God. The Apostles founded the church on a solid message of Grace. Yet, we somehow spent over a thousand years preaching works to get right with God and earn the forgiveness of Jesus! I mean… talk about self-righteous! ...

Is God waiting on your 'yes' ?

*Is God Waiting on Your ‘Yes’?* Do you feel like you are meant to do great things? Has God spoken to you concerning the plans and destiny He has for you, but you don’t know how it’s going to happen? There was a young woman in the Bible named Mary who felt the same way. She was visited by an angel and told that she would give birth to God’s son … even though she was a virgin! Mary asked the angel how the destiny spoken to her could possibly be since she had never known a man intimately. The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. For no word from God will ever fail.” Luke 1:35–37 NIV God has a word for you All Mary had was God’s final word that the promise He made to her would not fail. She also knew what struggles ...

Getting Your New Year's Revelation from God First

Many people start thinking about making New Year's resolutions this time of year. Have you ever tried to do a New Year's resolution..... but by February you've stopped?? Or maybe you have things you want to change in your life but don't know where to start?? "Get  you're New Year's revelation from you're Father God for you're resolution!"  where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom's instruction. Proverbs 29:18 NIV Getting revelation from God can help you cast off restraints and gain clarity. What this means is you can get a prophetic plan or strategy from the Lord on what area of your life you want to change. Then take a practical steps to fulfill it. If  people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what He reveals, they are most blessed in their lives. Proverbs 29:18 MSG Once you get clarity, it shi...

A WORD FOR 2019

Position yourself. I hear the Lord saying we need to position, and ready ourselves in the next few days as we go into 2019. As we position ourselves, the Father will begin to align us for the new year. It's a time to repent, let go of offenses, and throw off anything hindering you. Get ready to shift again. 2018 was a year of great shifting, and realigning of relationships. I sense again the Lord is doing that, because He's taking us higher to another level. There  is a great emphasis on the relationships in your lives.  I encourage you to take inventory and stock. Ask the Lord who needs to be apart of your life, and who you may need to cut ties with. This will be a great year of emerging and stepping into destiny, but it will hinge on the alignments and relationships in your life. Relationships/ Alignments are like keys that unlock or lock up the things of God within you.  Be wise in your alignments. 2019 will be a year of fulfilled promises. Many h...

YOU'RE RIGHTEOUS

For just as by one man's disobedience (failing to hear, heedlessness, and carelessness) the many were constituted sinners, so by one Man's obedience the many will be constituted righteous (made acceptable to God, brought into right standing with Him). Romans 5:19 AMPC Obey! Obey! Obey! How many times have we heard this preached at us? We are often told that we need to obey in order for God to be happy. Or we need to obey in order to be right with God. But that is a lie! The message of the Gospel is not about our obedience; the message of the Gospel is about Jesus’ obedience on our behalf. We are made righteous because of Jesus, not because of how well we obey. We don’t obey God in order to be made righteous, we obey God because we are Righteous. Put another way, we don’t obey for acceptance, we obey from the Acceptance we already have in Christ. Think about it, we did nothing to become sinners, we were born that way because of Adam. In the same way, we did not...
