Sons of Abundance

 Sons of Abundance

In a world often marked by scarcity and striving, the call to become "Sons of Abundance" is a powerful invitation to live in the fullness of God’s provision and grace. This mindset is not about material wealth alone but encompasses a life overflowing with spiritual, emotional, and relational richness—a life rooted in the knowledge of God as our loving Father. When we embrace our identity as His children, we step into a divine inheritance that transforms how we think, live, and give.

1. Knowing God as a Father

At the heart of abundance is a deep understanding of God’s character as our Father. He is not distant or detached but intimately involved in every aspect of our lives. Galatians 4:7 (Mirror) reminds us, “Your sonship qualifies you to immediately participate in all the wealth of GOD’s inheritance which is yours because of CHRIST.” Similarly, Ephesians 1:11 (NLT) declares, “Furthermore, because we are united with CHRIST, we have received an inheritance from GOD, for HE chose us in advance, and HE makes everything work out according to HIS plan.” Knowing God as Father fills us with confidence that He will provide, protect, and guide us, no matter the circumstances.

One of the reasons why we experience lack is our inability to believe God as a good Father personally. Reflecting on Peter’s first miraculous catch of fish demonstrates God’s provision even in our limitations. Luke 12:32 (NKJV) assures us, “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Truly, knowing who God is and who we are in Him is the most powerful weapon to experience abundance in our lives.

2. Walking in Intimacy with God

Abundance flows from intimacy with God. Our relationship with Him is the foundation of our access to His blessings. When we walk closely with Him, we not only experience His love but also gain insights into His plans and purposes for our lives. John 17 reveals the profound truth of our oneness with Christ, a union that gives us access to the riches of heaven. As Jeremiah 33:2-3 (MSG) encourages us: “Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.”

Walking intimately with God is not just about occasional prayers but developing a lifestyle of fellowship with Him. It is in these quiet, intimate moments that God reveals His treasures and provides solutions to our deepest challenges. Through intimacy, we unlock the wisdom and guidance needed to navigate life’s complexities and step into a realm of abundance that goes beyond material wealth. As we grow in intimacy, we develop sensitivity to His voice and experience His peace, direction, and favor in every decision we make.

3. Meditating on the Word of God

The Word of God is a treasure chest of wisdom and promises, waiting to be unlocked through meditation. Joshua 1:8 (NKJV) states, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Meditation is not just reading Scripture but allowing it to saturate our thoughts and shape our beliefs. Psalms 1:2-3 (MSG) describes the blessings of meditating on God’s Word: “You’re a tree replanted in Eden, bearing fresh fruit every month, never dropping a leaf, always in blossom.” When we meditate on His Word, it renews our minds, aligns our thoughts with His truths, and builds faith. This process transforms our perspective, enabling us to see opportunities and solutions even in challenging circumstances. By making His Word our foundation, we cultivate a mindset of abundance and begin to walk in the reality of His promises.

4. Walking in Obedience

Obedience is the key to unlocking God’s blessings. It is through obedience that we align our actions with God’s will and position ourselves to receive His best. Deuteronomy 28:1 (NKJV) promises, “If you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your GOD, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, the Lord your GOD will set you high above all the nations of the earth.”

Hearing God’s voice and responding promptly to His instructions often lead to breakthroughs. Obedience requires trust, even when we don’t fully understand the reasons behind His commands. For example, in the Bible, Peter’s act of casting his net at Jesus’ instruction resulted in an overwhelming catch of fish. Similarly, as we walk in obedience, we open doors to divine provision, protection, and favor.

1 Kings 2:3 (NKJV) emphasizes, “Keep the charge of the Lord your GOD: to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His judgments, and His testimonies… that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn.” Through obedience, we align ourselves with God’s plans, which are always for our good and His glory. Obedience not only ensures God’s provision but also brings a deep sense of fulfillment and joy as we walk in harmony with His purposes.

5. Honoring God with Our Substances

Giving back to God is an act of faith and gratitude that acknowledges Him as the source of all we have. Proverbs 3:9 (NKJV) teaches, “Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase.” This principle of honoring God with our resources—whether through tithing, offerings, or acts of generosity—is a tangible expression of trust in His provision.

When we honor God with our substances, we invite Him to take lordship over our finances and bless the work of our hands. It is not about the amount but the heart behind the giving. This act of faith not only meets the needs of others but also multiplies blessings in our lives. As we honor God, we step into a cycle of abundance where His provision flows freely into and through us. Honoring God in this way deepens our relationship with Him and allows us to be a blessing to others, extending His kingdom on earth.

  • I decree and declare that a new day is dawning over your family, job, business, finances, relationships, and health.

  • Through the revelation of the Word, health and vitality will be your testimony.

  • You will be divinely guided into realms of supernatural abundance and breakthroughs.

Conclusion

Becoming a Son of Abundance is about embracing a spiritual mindset rooted in God’s love, wisdom, and provision. This journey begins with knowing Him as our Father, growing in intimacy with Him, meditating on His Word, walking in obedience, and honoring Him with our resources. John 10:10 encapsulates this truth: “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

When we align our lives with these principles, we become reflections of His abundant nature, living as testimonies of His goodness and grace. Abundance is not merely about receiving blessings but about becoming a channel through which God’s love, provision, and generosity flow to others. Let us step boldly into our inheritance as Sons of Abundance, transforming the world around us with the overflow of His blessings.

KINGS AND PRIESTS

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9) And [now] they sing a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll and to break the seals that are on it, for You were slain (sacrificed), and with Your blood You purchased men unto God from every tribe and language and people and nation. And You have made them a kingdom (a royal race) and priests to our God, and they shall reign [as kings] over the earth! (Revelation 5:9-10 AMP) We were not saved just to have a ticket to heaven and in the meantime to maintain selfless and sinless lives here on earth. The purpose of our calling is to make known the excellencies of God. We are called to reveal and demonstrate His power, goodness, and love. We are destined to bring heaven here on earth. The term 'royal priesthood' signifies we are both to be priests a...

CULTIVATE INTIMACY

Cultivate Intimacy Soaking prayer is not a replacement for reading the Bible, praying, intercession, Christian counseling, or any other Christian discipline. It is the other side of the conversation, cultivating intimacy, going after God’s heart. Then He comes with His hand! I have especially seen this in healing ministry. Healing of issues of the heart, like physical healing, sometimes comes in an instant. But sometimes the healing takes place over a period of time. This is where soaking comes in. Many healing rooms and counselors have a place for their clients to soak before and after sessions with much fruit.  We’ve seen over and over that most of what God does happens when people stay on the floor (or sit in a chair) and keep on receiving, lingering in His presence. We so easily want “McJesus,” but He wants to dine with us! There is always more! Don’t miss it! When you are in that place, He has your full attention, and you have His. Many churches have added soaking prayer to ...

YOU'RE RIGHTEOUS

For just as by one man's disobedience (failing to hear, heedlessness, and carelessness) the many were constituted sinners, so by one Man's obedience the many will be constituted righteous (made acceptable to God, brought into right standing with Him). Romans 5:19 AMPC Obey! Obey! Obey! How many times have we heard this preached at us? We are often told that we need to obey in order for God to be happy. Or we need to obey in order to be right with God. But that is a lie! The message of the Gospel is not about our obedience; the message of the Gospel is about Jesus’ obedience on our behalf. We are made righteous because of Jesus, not because of how well we obey. We don’t obey God in order to be made righteous, we obey God because we are Righteous. Put another way, we don’t obey for acceptance, we obey from the Acceptance we already have in Christ. Think about it, we did nothing to become sinners, we were born that way because of Adam. In the same way, we did not...
