Leftover Days? No, Divine Days!
“Don't let the calendar steal your faith. These last days are not leftovers; they are an open door. God is still working, still moving, and still writing a story of unexpected miracles and unforgettable testimonies!”
Child of God, hear this word. Some of you have been looking at the calendar with a tired heart. You have counted the months, the prayers, the tears, the waiting. You are whispering, “It’s almost over. Maybe it was not meant for me this year.” But the Spirit says: The year is not over until God says it is over.
Your Expectation Has Not Been Cut Off
“For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.”
— Proverbs 23:18
Heaven has not cancelled what you are believing for. People may have laughed. Time may have delayed. Doubt may have whispered. But the promise of God does not expire when the calendar runs low.
“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.”
— Psalm 62:5
Your expectation is from Him, so only He can end it, and He has not.
God Works by an Appointed Time, Not by Your Calendar
Think of Sarah. She was old. Her body was past the age of bearing. Abraham was nearly a hundred. Every sign said, “It’s too late.” Yet the Lord had said:
“Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”
— Genesis 18:14
And then came the morning when waiting turned into laughter:
“And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.”
— Genesis 21:1–2
What looked too late to you was right on time to God.
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
— Habakkuk 2:3
From the Dungeon to the Palace in One Day
Joseph spent years in a prison for a crime he did not commit. He was forgotten by the cupbearer, forgotten by friends, and it seemed forgotten by heaven. But God was not forgetting him; God was preparing a moment. One day Pharaoh had a dream, and everything changed:
“Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.”
— Genesis 41:14
Notice the word hastily. Years of waiting, then one season of speed. When God moves, He can do in a day what you could not do in ten years.
And years later, Joseph looked back at every pit, every chain and every betrayal and said:
“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.”
— Genesis 50:20
What the enemy meant for evil, God is about to turn into a testimony.
A Prayer Heard, a Name Remembered
Hannah wept at the house of the Lord year after year. She was mocked, misunderstood and broken-hearted. But she kept pouring out her soul before God, and she never stopped praying. Then heaven answered:
“Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.”
— 1 Samuel 1:20
Hannah’s tears became a prophet. Your tears are not wasted; they are seeds in the hands of God.
“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
— Psalm 126:5–6
A Pot of Oil Became a Fortune
A widow was crushed by debt, and creditors were coming for her sons. She had nothing. Elisha asked her one question: “What hast thou in the house?”
“Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.”
— 2 Kings 4:2
That small pot became a flowing river, and the miracle stopped only when the empty vessels ran out:
“And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.”
— 2 Kings 4:6
The oil never ran out; the vessels did. Get ready, because your capacity is about to be tested by His supply.
One Word at the Right Moment
Peter had fished all night and caught nothing. He was tired, discouraged, and washing his empty nets. Then Jesus stepped into his boat and told him to try once more.
“Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.”
— Luke 5:5–6
Peter’s whole night of disappointment was reversed by one word from Jesus. One word from heaven can undo a whole season of empty nets.
Midnight Is the Hour of Breakthrough
Paul and Silas were beaten, chained and thrown into the inner prison. Nothing looked like a miracle. But they did something that changed the atmosphere. They worshipped.
“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.”
— Acts 16:25–26
Your praise in the darkest hour can shake the foundations of your prison. And notice the word suddenly. Prophetically I say to you: some of you are one “suddenly” away from your breakthrough.
Even After Four Days, He Can Still Say, “Come Forth”
When Jesus arrived at Bethany, Lazarus had been in the tomb four days. Martha said what many of us have said: “It is too late. The situation has already begun to decay.”
“Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?”
— John 11:40
“And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.”
— John 11:43
What is dead in your life is not too dead for the voice of Jesus. Dreams, relationships, health, finances, hope itself: there is a word coming that says, “Come forth.”
The Lord Will Restore and Hasten
“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.”
— Joel 2:25
“A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.”
— Isaiah 60:22
God does not only restore; He hastens. The Lord can compress years of delay into days of favor. The remaining days of this year are not leftovers. In His hands they are a divine opportunity.
A New Thing Is Springing Forth
“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
— Isaiah 43:19
Where there was no way, God is making a way. Where there was dryness, rivers are coming.
Prepare to Testify
Miracles are never given only for you to enjoy. They are given so that you can tell. A testimony is the proof that God still moves.
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
— Revelation 12:11
“Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.”
— Psalm 66:16
Your breakthrough will become somebody else’s hope.
A Prophetic Declaration
I speak to the weary one, the waiting one, the one who nearly gave up. Lift your head. The God who visited Sarah, lifted Joseph, remembered Hannah, filled the widow’s vessels, filled Peter’s nets, shook Paul’s prison and raised Lazarus has not changed.
This is not the end of your story.
These are not leftover days.
Your waiting is turning in wonders. Your tears are turning into testimonies.
Conclusion: Keep Believing
The days left in this year are in the hand of the One who never runs out of time. So do not shrink your faith. Do not bury your dream. Do not stop praying, praising or expecting. Lift your eyes beyond your limits, because the God you serve is bigger than your calendar.
“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
— Luke 1:37
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
— Ephesians 3:20
The year may be ending, but God is just getting started!
